Do you love the mountains?
Yeah- we thought so...
If you love mountains, THIS is the trip for you…
Switzerland is Heaven on Earth for mountain-lovers from around the world. This small European country has a well-earned reputation for stunning beauty, incredible adventures and unique alpine experiences unlike anywhere else. Soaring peaks, glistening glaciers, spectacular valleys, topaz-colored lakes- Switzerland is a feast for the eyes and an Adventure Lover’s playground. Join us in August, 2025 as we visit this legendary alpine paradise.
On this trip, we’ll visit two of the crown jewels of Switzerland’s iconic destinations: Interlaken, the Adventure Sports capital of the Northern Hemisphere- and Zermatt, home of the world-famous Matterhorn.
Surrounded by towering mountains, Interlaken is an adrenaline junkie’s dream- canyoneering, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, paragliding- if it has anything to do with ‘adrenaline’ and ‘mountains’, chances are you can do it in Interlaken… We’ll spend 4 nights in this amazing town, taking in all the impressive peaks have to offer.
Zermatt is a gem in its own right. Car-free and pedestrian-friendly, this impeccably clean and pristine town caters to hikers and cyclists during the summer months, doubling as a world-class ski resort in the winter. Of course, anyone who comes to Zermatt comes to see the famous Matterhorn- a towering peak stretching from the horizon in seemingly impossible angles- it is famous for a reason and one of those peaks you’ll remember forever. We’ll take to the trails to explore some of the best hiking in the area, allowing plenty of free time to enjoy this quaint mountain town.
Trip Dates: August 16-23, 2025
This trip will include spectacular hikes on some of the most breath-taking trails in all of Switzerland. We’ll explore the canyons of Interlaken, paddle across the brilliant Lake Brienz and enjoy an opportunity to ‘choose your own adventure’ in this outdoor lover’s playground.
In Zermatt, we’ll marvel at the Matterhorn, explore the local peaks and enjoy the pace and vibe of this incredible Swiss village.
TRIP PRICE: $4,950/person (Double Occupancy)
Single Supplement: $1,450
Not Included: Flights, travel insurance, add-on accommodation/excursions*, meals not listed above, tips for F4A Guides, personal expenses- souvenirs, alcohol, etc.
TRIP NOTES
This is an epic itinerary in the mountain wonderland of Switzerland. Do not expect a language barrier, as English is widely spoken throughout the country. We will be utilizing various methods of public transportation (in typical European fashion): we will ride a train from Geneva to Interlaken, use public busses to get around in Interlaken, ride another train to get to Zermatt, etc. The public transportation system in Switzerland is very user-friendly- clean, efficient, timely, easily accessed- it makes getting around the country a breeze. You will be accompanied by your F4A guides on all group excursions and activities- they will help navigate the transportation when necessary. All public transportation is included in your trip.
Canyoning: Canyoning is an adrenaline-fueled journey down one of the slot canyons around Interlaken. Our canyoning guides will select a canyon based on current conditions and water levels. Canyoning involves scrambling through the riverbed, sliding down natural rock slides, jumping into rock pools and having an AWESOME time. Full, multi-layered wetsuits, lifejackets, boots and helmets are provided by our outfitter. It is an EPIC adventure!
Paragliding: Imagine soaring high in the sky, floating high over mountains and rivers, the sun on your face and the wind in your hair, marveling at the stunning scenery around you... Well, THAT is paragliding! Interlaken happens to be one of the top spots in the world for paragliding. If you're keen to take to the skies, you will have the opportunity to get a bird's eye view of the mountains and beautiful scenery around Interlaken. Sound like fun? (It IS!) Ask us for details!
